What's New

Four New Releases: Two from Marin County - and two that are not.

Riesling

We bottled a tiny amount of the Vintage 2006 Pey-Marin Vineyards Riesling. Only our second vintage, our first vintage was lauded by Food and Wine Magazine as its "Staff Favorite", and it sold out in about a month. It appears many people are slowly realizing that Riesling is far better suited to most of today's cuisine. And hey, it's not your typical butterscotch, oak and alcohol mix some wineries call chardonnay.

Vin Gris

At the same time, you can expect to see a small amount of our newest Vin Gris dry rose from Mount Tamalpais Vineyards. It too has been sold out for months, so thanks for your patience.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Over the last twenty years we've worked in and with many of Napa Valley's finest winegrowing families; Cakebreads, Duckhorns, Davies, and others. So when an opportunity arose to get involved with Cabernet Sauvignon grow in in an old vineyard in the renown Oakville District, we jumped right in.

We are happy to introduce our first Napa Valley wine, Textbook Vineyards "Mise en place" Cabernet Sauvignon. Farmed on the gravelly east side of the Oakville appellation, it is a site which screams high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon. Its neighbors include PlumpJack, Dalle Valle, Rudd and others.

Syrah

Jonathan's considerable involvement in Australia while working with the inconic Penfolds winery and also in the northern Rhone has given him a certain affinity for top-quality Syrah (aka Shiraz).

Our "Rack & Roll" Syrah comes from a very special "single vineyard" site located in the eastern hills of Paso Robles whose exemplary sustainable viticultural practices have been officially recognized by the State of California. Vineyard terrain is characterized by dry, gently rolling western sloping hills offering an environment very well-suited to robust Rhône varietals.
